How and why E-filing?

E-filing rules and procedures

Implementing E-filing

Welcome to the Court Technology Laboratories 10th Anniversary distance learning class on electronic document filing in the courts.  This is our first experiment using the Internet to transmit our PowerPoint slide "live" to multiple participants.

To participate you need two things:

  • A computer connected to the Internet equipped with a browser program
  • A telephone (a speakerphone would be best so you don't get a sore ear)

You can test whether you can participate in the class by going to our distance education service provider http://www.myplaceware.com to register your name and select a password.  If you can access this web site, you should be able to receive the presentation.

(As an FYI, we now use WebEx for Internet presentations - JM, 2001)

To register for class you need to send an e-mail message to: mmassey@ncsc.dni.us

Once you are registered you will receive an e-mail message with the class Internet link and password.  Save these because you will need them when you connect to class.  Please try to connect via Internet and telephone between 4:15 and 4:30 PM eastern daylight time (US) to minimize disruptions to the class.

Due to funding restrictions, the class is limited to the first 25 registrants.
