Mr. Stan Howard of Phenix City, Alabama has been a fan of Soap Box Derby for more than fifty years and has been attending the All American in Akron for nearly all that time. In recent years he has published "The Rail Bird" that captures, from the adult viewpoint, the excitement, and people that are the heart and soul of derby racing (and also provides some great gourmet tips for eating around Akron, Ohio).
